Atta boy Rod!!...I just bought some Wenge from Windsor Plywood in Smithers. I know one of the stores that has a $4000 plank of waterfall Bubinga that I am considering.........that is probably as far as I will get though..!

Tony, I still need to talk double necks with ya!

I saw that board last summer out there - still kicking around huh. They actually got it from a guy I know who had a ton here in Ontario. I think we trade lots of hardwood for softwood !!!!

Thanks to everyone for your suggestions, I think I used most of them. And I must say I am fairly pleased with the end result. The picture cannot do this justice. I decided since the joints in the MOP were going to be visible anyway I might as well try and use them to my advantage. I also decided that it would be best to have all the MOP tiles pretty much the same size. I order just enough shell to do this rosette and had no extra to spare. Because of this I had to make all the tiles small in ordered to use the little pieces of shell I had been sent. So I decided to make the tiles 1cm each. Well 79 pieces later this is what came out (sorry for the poor pic quality).

In the future I will order extra shell and make the pieces a bit larger. This thing took way to long to install. But I am happy that it came out well.

Josh

Tony – great rosettes as usual

Shane - this is one of your Lutz tops. This top is super stiff and rings like a bell. Can't wait to see what it is like when it is all done.

Man Josh that looks GREAT!! Well done! Another of those moments where getting started and just doing it is the hardest part. Then you look back and think that it wasn't as bad as you thought.

Your results are spectacular! Looking forward to the rest of the guitar.

Shane
